Another exciting thing for me this week. At the start of the year I discovered a magazine that prints stories and articles that have an Irish link, and an idea instantly came to mind. While living in Japan, I learnt about a gentleman who was half Irish, half Greek, worked in American and then later became a naturalised citizen of Japan. His name was Lafcadio Hearn, and I often visited his residence in Kumamoto which has now been turned into a museum.
I pitched the idea to the magazine - Ireland's Own - at the start of the year, and they accepted it. This week, I recieved my complimentary copy of the magazine as my article has now been published. I have already been contacted by a Hearn enthusiast who was thrilled to see the publication.
If you're in Ireland this week, grab a copy!
